Advanced File Encryption Pro – Advanced Encryption Tool
Developer Jarvas Data Security has two encryption tools to offer. First there’s Advanced File Encryption Lite, a simple tool that provides support for multiple platforms (Windows and Linux). Then there’s Advanced File Encryption Pro, an advanced tool meant for commercial usage. As expected, the Pro version has a bit more features to offer than the Lite one.
As mentioned above, Advanced File Encryption Lite provides support for Windows and Linux. The Pro version does not provide support for multiple platforms. It is only available for Windows. The nice thing is that downloading and installing Advanced File Encryption Pro will take very little of your time.
Advanced File Encryption has a wizard-like interface. This means the interface will take you step-by-step through the data encryption process:
Step 1 – select the files you want to encrypt.
Step 2 – choose the output location; sign encrypted data, obfuscate filenames, hide the output folder.
Step 3 – create a password for the files you want to encrypt and initiate the encryption process.
It must be mentioned here that Advanced File Encryption provides support for multiple encryption algorithms: AES (Rijndael), Blowfish, Camelia, Serpent, Twofish, HC-256, and several more.
Advanced File Encryption Pro is not free, it is only free to try. You can get rid of the trial limitations by getting a commercial license. It must be mentioned here that you can also get a free non-commercial license. Register for free and you can use Advanced File Encryption Pro for non-commercial purposes.
Encrypt any files you want. Advanced File Encryption Pro allows you to do that and provides a very nice selection of encryption algorithms.
Pros
There are two Advanced File Encryption editions: Lite and Pro. The Pro version, which is meant for commercial usage, has more features to offer. Numerous encryption algorithms are supported. The interface is very easy to use. You can very easily encrypt files with Advanced File Encryption Pro. You can register a non-commercial version for free.
Cons
Nag screen is displayed if you do not register. Files cannot be encrypted with an unregistered version.
